What materials are in a composite trailer floor?

Posted : 2016-06-26
The term composite floor refers to a laminated oak trailer floor which is strengthened by a fiberglass-reinforced product on the bottom side. Rockland manufactures two different composite floors - The Defender and Pound Saver. Pound Saver is a patented product which uses fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) bonded to the bottom surface of an oak floor. The Defender is a new value version of the Pound Saver which uses fiberglass-reinforced polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) composite bonded to oak flooring. Both Rockland composite floors provide extra strength and longer work life as compared to standard oak floors. Please contact us for additional information on Pound Saver and The Defender products.
