Congratulations to Maria Navarrette for achieving 20 years of service & dedication at Rockland Flooring (Monon Indiana). Maria has held many positions within the Rip department which processes all the boards and sticks for the floors created. Maria is known as the “Go To” for any questions or assistance needed within the department. Maria stated her love of working for Rockland Flooring and great coworkers have made the past two decades fly by all too quickly. Congrats Maria!

Jolene Felch began working at the Red Wing MN facility in production right out of high school – transferring to the Rockland WI location in 1998. Her career has grown through hands-on roles in manufacturing, training, process control, and finishing operations. Along the way, she has taken on key leadership positions, including line leadership and supervisory roles, helping support team development and operational success.
Jolene is currently a Shift Supervisor, continuing to demonstrate strong leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

Over the past 25 years, Steph Tutor has worn many hats, starting as a production employee on the glue line and growing into her current role as Corporate HR Manager at Rockland Flooring. 2026 recipients of the Louis “Lumber Lou” Chicquette Memorial Scholarship
Presentation was made during the Lake States Lumber Association Winter Meeting
held recently in Green Bay at Lambeau Field.
Both young men plan to pursue careers in professional cabinetry or furniture manufacturing,
continuing the strong tradition of craftsmanship within the forest products industry.
This memorial scholarship honors the life, career, and lifelong dedication
of Louis Larkin Chicquette, celebrating his passion for the lumber industry
by supporting students who share that same enthusiasm and commitment.

Rockland Flooring (Rockland) was host to a recent AME Benchmarking Event. The Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) has over 30 Wisconsin manufacturing companies in membership with over 4,000 worldwide. The consortia was titled “Driving Cultural Transformation Through Continuous Improvement”. Rockland Flooring COO Dan Smithburg and Site Manager Jaron Falkner shared their focused journey to embed continuous improvement into the fabric of their organizational culture.
Over the past two years, Rockland Flooring has leveraged the Culture Index as a strategic tool to: Enhance recruiting practices, strengthen team dynamics and individual ownership, aligning team members with lean activities and roles based on behavioral insights. This approach has helped foster deeper engagement and accountability across their network of plants. It’s a compelling example of how data-driven tools can elevate leadership, team performance, and operational excellence.

Dan’s infectious laugh and warm smile clearly make him a cornerstone of the Finishing Department in West Lorne. Dan brings his love of laughter not only to his coworkers but also to his community—whether he’s pedaling through town on his bike or sharing stories over coffee at Tim Horton’s with wife Rose by his side.
Here’s to Dan’s incredible journey, the laughter he’s shared, and the legacy he continues to build. Cheers to many more joyful rides and coffee breaks ahead!

Congratulations to Jan Antal for achieving 25 Years of Service with Rockland Flooring (Rockland WI location). Jan has worn many hats during her time with Rockland Flooring – from working on the chop line, becoming a Trainer for new employees, working for Quality as a PC and then moving to her current role as 2nd Shift Supervisor. Jan credits her 25 years with Rockland Flooring to the “amazing employees she works side by side with” while also adding that she’s excited about the dream of retirement.
